The Classic Wing Chair
Originating from the 18th Century, the Wing Chair is a highbacked, highseat chair fully upholstered in leather. This wing chair was much improved during the Victorian era when the then hard seated chair became the companion to the popular Chesterfield Sofa, gaining additional comfort through the use of internally sprung components and Chesterfield style button upholstery to become the fully sprung, fully upholstered easy-chair we all know and love today.
Our Wing Chairs are created by hand in our UK based workshops using many of the traditional construction techniques you would associate with a Victorian made chair, updated to adhere to UK fire safety standards and created to your individual specifications.
